The hotel is in a central location, very convenient for most things. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The air-conditioning cannot be turned off in the room although there is control for it. It can only be turned off by the reception. We found it too cold on our first night and we prefer to have the windows opened anyway. There is an extensive buffet breakfast, but what we normally have for our breakfast were not great. The fruit juices are in jars which are not freshly squeezed but from a carton. There were the same three sliced fruits, water melon, pineapple and melon every day. There is a basket of fresh fruits but these are not extensive. Room size, classic double is not exactly spacious.

To kick off our holiday, we stayed for two days in the La Torre apartment at Phi Hotel Bologna. The hotel is centrally located, ideal for a city trip to Bologna; everything is within walking distance and just outside Piazza Maggiore. They have a very extensive breakfast buffet where nothing is lacking. But the best thing about this hotel is the very friendly and helpful staff. We felt very welcome in this beautiful city! Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay at Phi Hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the location is perfect for exploring the sites in Bologna. The restaurant offers interesting dishes in an informal and friendly atmosphere, and the breakfast offering is varied and delicious. As an older woman and solo traveler I felt welcomed and safe. I was there during a heat wave and can vouch that the air conditioning was spot on! I left my ebook in the room and when I called it had been found and the return process was easy and successful. I highly recommend this hotel!
