Hotel Marco Polo

More of a motel than a hotel. At the reception there is never anyone you still have to make do by typing a PIN code sent by the owner and with this you check in and have the keys to the room. Discreet room as the bathroom, just to spend no more than one night. Still clean. 100€ for one night I find it too high a price for a structure like this.

Absolutely to be avoided... I'm giving a rating of 1 only because I can't give it a 0. One night stay for business reasons... I wouldn't call it a "Hotel". The impression from the outside is that of a motel which is confirmed once inside the small room furnished with a few rags, including the only sad bottle of natural water in the minibar for the modest sum of 1 euro. As soon as I entered the room I was overwhelmed by a strong smell of smoke mixed with an equally bad musty smell, despite the smoking ban in the rooms. Unattended reception. View on a noisy street, but even louder are the music, shouts and shouts coming from the bar below. Until late at night, drunken customers and shouting managers are unaware that it is a place where those who stay pay with the sacrosanct right to rest instead of putting up with those who literally disturb the public peace. Despite the call to the manager to shut down the nightclub below, the music and shouting did not stop. Not to mention the methods of payment of the tourist tax... I don't recommend it and will never go back.

I was stranded in Bologna airport late at night by Ryanair and found Hotel Marco Polo a short taxi journey away on Tripadvisor. The manager, Antonio, was extremely helpful when I rang the hotel and luckily had one room left. The hotel is super-clean, modern and the bed very comfortable, a good size and good value. I occasionally fly from Bologna and will definitely come back after this experience.
