Savoia Hotel Country House

The room was comfortable and attractive. It was very pleasant being in a wooded area with quick access to the city centre by bus. The breakfast and the onsite restaurant are excellent. The pool was closed on our first day (don't know why) but then open and very enjoyable. It was a bit odd learning on arrival we had to walk over to the main facilities, but only took about 3 minutes. They seem to have a lot of conferences in the main hotel but that didn't inconvenience us. Quite a lot of traffic noise at times. Probably more peaceful than central Bologna.

The structure was not bad but I found some croquettes king dogs in the whole room (left by the previous guest!!!!) and while complaining several times the management did NOTHING to remedy or apologize!

We stayed at the Country House Savoia over the weekend and unfortunately the experience did not live up to expectations, especially considering that the hotel looks like a 4-star structure. Although the booking was for double comfort, in the room we also found an unrequested single bed, which greatly reduced space and prevented using one of the light switches. The double bed consisted of two bed bases and two single mattresses side by side, with single bottom sheets: an uncomfortable and also dangerous arrangement, because the beds tended to move away easily. After reporting the problem at the reception, on the way back we simply found a double sheet resting on the desk, then having to make the bed yourself. The room also lacked a kettle with herbal teas or instant coffee, usual equipment for facilities in this category. Finally, despite displaying the “do not disturb” sign before breakfast, on the way back we found the window open, a sign that someone had entered the room. Greater attention to detail and guest comfort would certainly make the experience more consistent with the 4 stars declared.
