Residence Le Vele

Good morning, I have not stayed in this residence, and I certainly will not do so in the near future. I was booking on the residence's website at a favorable price (€1,400.00 for two weeks) when we did not proceed to write an email to request the possibility of doing it via bank transfer. Today we were told that it was their mistake in entering the price, and therefore I would not be able to take advantage of that offer, and today the price has increased by over €800.00. We tried, politely, to make the managers understand that the mistake was theirs, unfortunately without success; moreover, on the phone, we were also treated poorly by the person who called us back. In a store, when they make a mistake in writing the price on the merchandise, the item is sold at the displayed price, and they do not backtrack by saying there was a mistake. Unfortunately, the hospitality and correctness typical of Romagna no longer exist.

We stayed at “La Vele” and unfortunately cannot understand the high rating of 8.9. Yes, the location is very good, the price fine and the reception super friendly and helpful – that’s really positive. Also the cot we had requested was ready upon arrival. We also used the bike rental service – practical and straightforward. But unfortunately the apartment was disappointing overall: • It smelled unpleasant – presumably because of the air conditioning. • It is extremely poorly insulated – you can hear every chair being moved upstairs. • The decor is old and very unkempt. The kitchen is wobbly, the cupboards stick and look like they could collapse at any moment. • Unfortunately, it was not clean either. • We had on arrival only 31⁄2 forks for 5 people, no cups, no small bowls. • The wardrobe had no shelves, so no way to store clothes neatly. • And: The pillows were really uncomfortable – with a strange filling that had completely disintegrated. They just felt gross and weren't hygienic. • There was no basic equipment: no garbage bags, no tea towel, no dishcloths – nothing. You really have to buy everything yourself. We have also received little information, such as how it goes with towels or what is provided. Conclusion: The apartment has potential – the location and staff are really good. But the condition, cleanliness and equipment leave much to be desired. A rating of 8.9 is absolutely not justified in our view.
