Best Western Hotel Farnese Parma

A good hotel with a good restaurant and nice pool. The hotel is located a little outside of Parma and that it is nice, Especially in relation to using a car. The rooms are little small and need an upgrade in a few years but otherwise good.

We booked 2 rooms. Family with a 4 y grand daughter with us. Check in was good. We went eating before we checked out rooms. Very boring restaurant. Food was absolutely no taste at all. Staff was completely ignoring us and we had to ask them for everything, even to pay. Just a big white room with small windows and thin tables and chairs. For a 4 star hotel?? Went up to our room 401, the smell in this room was very strong like ammonia ? Our second room smelled like garlic. We couldn’t stay. Although the manager showed us 5 different rooms and just one of them was ok. We have prepaid and they would not give us our money back. Rooms are also very dark because outside there is a balcony with a brick wall so high you could barely see outside. I can’t believe this is a 4 star hotel?? Location, it’s outside the center and we thought it was in a poor district.

Bad smell in the room, so I had to keep the window open constantly. A very rude and inappropriate gentleman at the reception (too bad because another colleague of his had been very kind). I will never set foot there again
