Ora Hotels City Parma

Quiet place, very well-kept. Very comfortable bed and spacious shower. Good breakfast, recommended restaurant. Positive experience

After having changed five hotels around Europe in the last few days without ever having the slightest problem, the Best Western Hotel Green City in Parma was the only one to refuse check-in for my two-year-old son. I had forgotten the child's original ID card, but I had a photo of the document with me, along with all my regular documents. Instead of looking for a reasonable solution, the staff chose the path of total rigidity, forcing us, in the middle of the night, to go to the Carabinieri to file a report for the loss. The most incredible thing is that the Carabinieri, after calling the hotel directly to verify the situation, were sincerely surprised by such a lack of common sense and filed the report anyway. The law must be respected, but common sense also exists, especially when talking about a two-year-old child and a family that arrived at night after a long trip. A minimum of willingness was enough to avoid wasting the time of a family and even the police for a situation like this. I hope that whoever made this decision never finds themselves in a situation where they need understanding and flexibility for their own child, because it is precisely in those moments that one understands how important common sense is. It is sad to have to involve the Carabinieri for matters that could have been resolved with five minutes of dialogue, while then we complain when the police are busy and there is a lack of resources to deal with much more serious problems. An experience I will not forget and a hotel I will never return to.

A relaxing hotel, far from the city noise and smog, but very close to the Parma airport. In contact with nature and with the rabbits that keep you company. I recommend it
