⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 stars – A hotel that makes a vacation something very special
For us, Hotel Felix in Rimini is the perfect mix of peace, relaxation, and varied experiences. It is not a loud party hotel, but also not one where you only stay to sleep. Here, everyone finds exactly the right amount of relaxation and Italian vacation feeling.
The hotel consists of two buildings, both of which have elevators. The cozy terrace area in the entrance area is especially nice. Right next to it is a playground, so children can play while the parents relax and enjoy a cappuccino or another drink. The many lovingly designed seating options invite you to linger at any time.
We had booked full board and were spoiled three times a day with incredibly fresh and excellently prepared food. Breakfast is offered as a rich buffet and truly leaves nothing to be desired – with a large selection of bread/toast, rolls, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit, muesli, sweet dishes, and much more.
One particular concept really pleased us: We were already able to relax and choose our dishes for the next day in the evening – for both lunch and dinner. There were three appetizers and three main courses to choose from each time. Whether vegetarian, vegan, or with meat – there is truly something for every taste. And if a special request should ever arise, a quick note is enough and a solution is found immediately. For us, however, that was not necessary a single time, despite our two children.
In addition, there is a large, fresh salad buffet at lunch and dinner with a diverse selection of salads, vegetables, bread, and other side dishes. The ordered dishes are then brought directly to the table by the exceptionally friendly service team. It is impressive how attentive and warm the staff is in addressing the wishes of every single family.
During our entire vacation, I felt like I didn't have to worry about a thing. That is exactly what makes a perfect vacation for me. The hotel manages to really take the load off families, so you can simply enjoy your time together.
We were there with our two children, and even they were thrilled by the warm, family-friendly atmosphere. This feeling, by the way, extends throughout all of Rimini. We encountered friendly people everywhere. We were also particularly touched by the hotel's guestbook. In it, guests from all over the world express their gratitude for being helped whenever they needed support. We experienced exactly this feeling ourselves.
We were able to book numerous excursions through the hotel – from a tour to San Marino and wine tastings to trips to traditional Italian cities or a massage on the beautiful rooftop terrace. Everything was family-friendly and truly more than fair in price. The best part: We only had to let Simona know. The hotel took care of the rest. We were able to select the date and time very easily and everything was perfectly organized. Stefano or Simona even accompany the excursions personally. You are never just sent somewhere, but feel well taken care of at all times. You rarely experience this much dedication these days.
The hotel combines typical Italian charm with modern elements in a very special way. An absolute highlight is the weekly dinner on the beautifully designed rooftop terrace – an atmosphere that you won't soon forget.
The partnerships with the beach operators are also excellent. As a hotel guest, you receive discounts and everyone on-site knows exactly what's going on. The location could hardly be better: From the hotel, it is just one and a half minutes to the beach. You stay on a quiet side street and are still right by the sea – without the noise and bustle of the beach promenade right outside your door.
We were there from the end of July to the beginning of August and had no jellyfish in the water during that time. At the beach, we were able to rent pedal boats with slides or diving boards for only 25 euros per hour – a great change of pace for the whole family. The miles-long beach promenade is excellently equipped. Every beach section has playgrounds, restrooms, showers, and changing rooms. The beach itself is exceptionally wide, so children have plenty of room to play and adults can find peace and relaxation at the same time.
The heart of this hotel, however, is its people. Stefano, Simona, and their entire Italian family live hospitality with a warmth that one rarely experiences anymore. Everyone is truly welcome here – regardless of whether young or old. Everyone looks out for everyone else. If there is a problem or a question, there is always someone who can help – and often even in several languages.
We were particularly impressed by the fact that Stefano and Simona are not just the operators of the hotel. They are present from early morning until late at night, always have an open ear for their guests, greet everyone with a smile, and take time for personal conversations. You notice in every minute that they run their hotel with all their heart. They know an incredible number of guests personally and still manage to make everyone feel like they are something special. This extraordinary commitment carries over to the entire team and makes the stay something that goes far beyond an ordinary hotel vacation.
You can feel from the very first moment that this is not just a hotel being run, but that the guests are treated like part of the family. Exactly this feeling made our vacation so special and will remain in our memories for a long time.
Our conclusion: For us, Hotel Felix deserves 5 out of 5 stars without any reservations. It is not just a beautiful hotel with excellent food, a perfect location, and great service – it is above all the people who make this place unique.
Grazie di cuore to Stefano, Simona, and the entire team. Thank you very much for this wonderful time, for your warmth, and for the fact that you managed to give us a vacation where we didn't have to worry about anything and could simply enjoy our time together as a family.
We will definitely be back!
