Hotel Stiefel

We stayed as a couple for 8 days at Hotel Stiefel and were completely more than just satisfied! 250m to the beach, less than 100m to the main shopping street and the best bars or restaurants in Lignano (Athmosphere, Croce del sud, Flamingo etc...), extremely clean rooms, super friendly staff, and the friendliest and most attentive manager I have met in about 50 stays in Lignano. No matter the concern, wish, or request, we did not hear a single "no" or "not possible" in 8 days. Of course, it is a rather old hotel, but the manager (Mr. Raffaele) does not make a secret of it anywhere; everything is stated on booking.com, for example, and therefore I find it even cheeky when one stays at Raffaele's for this price and subsequently writes reviews with content like: "no refrigerator in the room," "not clean," "unfriendly," etc. etc...., because, for example, no refrigerator in the room, communal refrigerator available (which, by the way, works perfectly! Not a single drink or anything else has gone missing!) is clearly stated online at the time of booking. As I said, it is an older hotel, but regarding cleanliness, the neighboring hotels that cost double or triple could take a leaf out of his book! Furthermore, manager Raffaele is striving to renovate the hotel step by step. If these claims were true, how could the overall rating be so high on all notable platforms?! The price-performance ratio is a sensation! The fact that there is no breakfast is also in the information about the hotel, so another point where some guests are very unfair to Raffaele when they then rate the hotel poorly in retrospect and thus also damage it - he does not deserve that! Dear Raffaele, we would like to thank you once again for your top service, the assistance, the friendliness (of course also to the entire team, which ensured a flawless room daily), and the wonderful stay in the top air-conditioned rooms! Perfect location -close to beach,grocery shop, city centre, we have been here already 3 times so that itself says all was great. Rafaelle from reception is very nice. I would recomend the hotel.

After a change of ownership, the hotel is partially under renovation (our bathroom was already completely new). Therefore, there is currently no breakfast or food service. Staff was very friendly, especially at the reception. Once the restructuring is complete, it will certainly be a good hotel, close to the center and close to the beach.
