Porta Cavana

Due to a problem, I booked with a phone call half an hour before arriving in Trieste. The receptionist was very kind. The hotel is in an excellent location a stone's throw from Piazza Unità d'Italia. Unfortunately, the experience was negatively marked by the inconsistent cleanliness of the room. The bathroom, the floor, and the bed were very clean, while the furniture and the various ornaments were dusty, but the final straw was the fan above the nightstand that was wearing a real blanket of dust. Overall, I would give it a second chance, but perhaps with more advance notice and by requesting a more thorough cleaning.

You will love room 10, unusable in the summer period as it lacks air conditioning and is located above the motorcycle parking in an area frequented until late at night and above a fish market that opens at 5. You can use the TV or the fridge, as there is only one outlet and they don't have adapters. But the problem does not exist because the TV does not work! Toilet pipe broken and dangerous. Cleaning every I don't know how many days and it shows! Exaggerated price for the service! Excellent location!

I have seen better, but I have also seen much, much worse! Well located, comfortable bed, adequate cleanliness, friendly staff (they do not clean the room every day, but that was not a problem for me).
