Hotel Serapo

They lack kindness and manners. The first evening I brought my Golden to the outdoor restaurant and the waiter had reserved a secluded table for me, telling me that we could sit there even though the internal regulations did not allow dogs in the restaurant. In thanking him for his helpfulness, I pointed out that no one had mentioned this circumstance to me, and the aforementioned prohibition was not highlighted in the booking email either. While I was having dinner with my daughter and my little dog lying at my feet, a certain Andrea from the reception arrived, who, with arms on his hips in an aggressive manner, invited me to take my dog to the room, scolding me for having sat down against the waiter's wishes. Which made me furious because the table had been carefully chosen by the waiter, and in any case, I did not appreciate that aggressive, arrogant, violent attitude toward me at all, especially in front of my minor daughter. What a shame!! What manners. In any case, I pay 10 euros a day for my Nina and I cannot even take her with me to the outdoor restaurant. Regulations and the related prohibitions must be communicated to customers. If that had been the case, I would have chosen a different property. Beyond this, the violent behavior that both my minor daughter and I had to endure remains. What a shame!!!!!

Dilapidated rooms (not even in a hostel in Barcelona was it this terrible), dated and small (we had to sleep 4 of us in there with our clothes thrown in our suitcases since the closet was tiny). We also insistently asked for a room change (even for an extra charge) which was denied to us while it was granted to others... restaurant food good but with little variety (every extra, needless to say, was for a fee) and impressively slow (I had my one-year-old children at the table and to get decent service we had to make ourselves heard by the maitre d')... strong points are the location directly on Serapo beach and the clean and well-equipped beach... furthermore, there was no ramp for disabled people and strollers to be able to access the reception...

On August 19th I booked a double room at Hotel Serapo, paid over 200 euros for a dilapidated room located inside an equally neglected structure with holes in the curtains and old furnishings and several unserviced fire extinguishers .... Even the breakfast was worthy of a very poor-quality nursing home...... Very disappointed and the high season period has nothing to do with it, as maintenance and renovation have been missing for many, many decades. Very noisy air conditioning fan!! A disgrace!!
