Abruzzese B&B

We are a couple of travellers and as such, we love to travel. Our experience in each city must be unique, authentic, passionate and Rome is a destination to do so! Arriving to Rome was as good as the train service can be... so, do not try to stick to very tight schedules because everything can turn upside down thanks to the train service. However our story went well because our host was advice us about every detail and she was extremely supportive since we took the plane (in Belgium), it means in other words, she was taking care of us even before taking the plane to Rome and that is already something to celebrate about human kind. Directions and guidance could not be better considering we were landing at around 23.00hrs. We were guided to a very quiet, private and cosy area of Rome, well connected by public transport. The morning after we could choose between preparing our breakfast at "home" or take a walk of 5 minutes to next coffee shop were locals hanged out (loudly) discussing about their lives. That is the kind of experiences we were looking for... Nothing against franchises but honestly, we love the warmth of -real- locals in every town we visit. After breakfast being at Piazza San Pietro (Saint Peter's square) is matter of 15 minutes by bus. From that point you can decide wether to walk to take another bus or just get eel the experience of being walking between "trattorias", squares, little art galleries, cafés and whatever the city has to offer but if you are overwhelmed and feel really lost your host is always reachable and supportinve. Amazing, isn't it?!!! Lets talk about the flat itself. It is clean, bed and lining in good shape, plenty of natural light can enter the space. Toilet and shower in perfect conditions. Kitchen well equipped for the basic things (making coffee, eating cereal, preparing scrambled eggs and toasts, storing couple of things in the fridge...). Entrance and common areas are secured, neighbours are extremely friendly if you are used to say "good morning" with a smile. If you are not used to southern weather on summer days there is no issue because fresh air enters all time. If you love to travel, this is the place to go.
