Cute hotel with all the comforts. Located in a great position and close to the subway. All the staff were very kind, friendly, and available to satisfy every request. I recommend it and suggest it.

WARNING: JEWELRY STOLEN FROM OUR ROOM Our family recently stayed at Hotel Centro Cavour in Rome. The room was fine and the location was excellent for touring the sites. What should have been a wonderful vacation was diminished when my wife’s diamond anniversary ring was stolen from our room. We are not careless travelers. We always lock jewelry, cash, passports, and valuables in the room safe. On the morning of our Vatican tour, we were rushing to meet our driver and guide. My wife removed her engagement ring to apply sunscreen and placed it on the desk. In our haste to leave, she forgot to put it back on her finger as we departed (her fault). We realized while out for the day that she left her ring in the room; panic immediately set in as we rushed back to the hotel. When we returned, the ring was unfortunately gone. We searched the entire room from top to bottom. We searched luggage, clothing, drawers, bedding, under furniture, and every place imaginable. The ring did not simply disappear. We immediately reported the theft to the front desk. The response was disappointing and dismissive. We received little assistance and no meaningful effort to investigate what happened. We asked to speak to the employee directly, we could not. We asked for key access records to our room, they would not provide them. While they claimed to have checked the trash and laundry, we were simply told that the housekeeping employee was trustworthy and there was nothing more they could do. That explanation was not acceptable to us. The ring was on the desk when we left. It was gone when we returned - it did not walk away. The room had been serviced while we were out. The facts speak for themselves. The financial loss is frustrating, but the sentimental loss is devastating. This was not just a piece of jewelry. It was my wife’s anniversary ring and a cherished symbol of our marriage and memories. While the ring can and will be replaced (first world problem); the sentimental value cannot. If you are considering staying at Hotel Centro Cavour, take this warning seriously. Do not leave jewelry, watches, cash, electronics, or any valuables unattended in your room for even a few minutes. Lock everything in the safe immediately as housekeeping is NOT trustworthy! We made the mistake of believing our belongings would be safe in a hotel charging $500 per night rates. We paid a painful price for that trust. Our room was 606, Sixth Floor.

A trip as a gift from the Three Kings, the hotel was fantastic, the staff very friendly, the room was very good, and the location was perfect. A good hotel for traveling to Rome.
