Quite run down. Old building, elevator doesn't work. Beds were very uncomfortable. Breakfast is cereal, yogurt, toast and packaged croissants (although they do have good coffee makers). Location is so-so.

I booked my son and his friend into this location for a 3 day stopover in Rome before meeting us in Cinqer Terra, they said the place was fantastic with no noise, it's a small place with only a few rooms but for the price and the location and only a token of the cost compared to other central places in the middle of Rome this was fantastic.

First - this isn't hostel or B&B, this is private apartment in old building. You have to look at the doorbells and find the doorbell which was supposed to be for Amoroma. The location is near to Termini, but the whole neighborhood seemed to be not very safe during the night. Anyway this is stinky, dirty neighborhood, but we were OK with this situation because we read some reviews before. In the building is an elevator and this apartment is located on the 4th floor, you have to search this apartment because there is no sign of B&B. The owner is an Italian, nice person, doesn't speak very English at all, but it was OK. Everywhere on the walls are warnings "no smoking"but the owner is a smoker, so the whole flat stinks so badly, we had room just next to his private room and when we had open windows our room stinked like an awful bar. The room itself was clean, two single beds, we received two towels. The Bathroom was clean as well, but here is a thing! There is NO HOT WATER in the shower and the water flow is very very thiny and weak,so when you want to shower... Yes that was quite an experience,we washed our hair in the sink. The kitchen was pretty small and full of dirty dishes. Breakfast-I really have no idea why are people in these reviews so excited about the breakfast. They consist of dry croissants with no taste, ordinary toast bread, some cereals, milk, jam and that's it.So we decided to have our breakfast in the city with fresh croissant/bombolone and wonderful espresso.
I have to say I am quite disappointed. I haven't expected much, but the whole neighborhood was very loud and dirty, full of immigrants, the flat was stinky and I really hate smokers so I wasn't happy about this situation. I would't definitely come back and I wouldn't recommend this accommodation. But when you need to stay close to Termini and you don't need much, go for it. Otherwise look for an accommodation in Trastavere or in the city center.
