Area Hotel Rome

Worse than a 2-star hotel. Terrible experience. Double room on the first floor. Walls in poor condition, dirty with all sorts of things, from footprints to insect blood (definitely mosquitoes) to paint drips in the bathroom. Nightstands covered in dust. Bathroom from a horror movie: no window, broken and non-functioning exhaust fan. Shower with a curtain and no shower tray (the bathroom gets flooded every time you wash). An experience that was nothing short of disastrous.

The PHI Garden Hotel was wonderful. It was clean and comfortable. The entire staff couldn't have been more helpful! We actually stayed the night we arrived in Rome and again the night before we left. We had a very early checkout on our second stay, Milan and the breakfast staff were incredibly kind and gave the kids a bagged breakfast to go! We appreciate that very much! The airport was only 20 minutes from this hotel. The garden area is beautiful, shady and comfortable as well. Another perk was that public transportation was very close by. We went into Rome Center by train. Location is key! I am happy to recommend this facility.

My daughter recently stayed at the Phi Hotel Garden Area Roma and had a wonderful experience. Before her trip, I emailed the hotel as I was a little apprehensive about her travelling alone as a solo traveller. The team could not have been more helpful and reassuring. They kindly arranged for her to be allocated a room on a higher floor, which I greatly appreciated, and they also surprised her with flowers in her room for her birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made her feel very special. I would also like to thank the reception staff for their kindness and compassion during her stay. Unfortunately, we don’t know their names, but there was a gentleman with brown hair and glasses and a lady with blonde hair who went above and beyond. My daughter was feeling a little distressed and needed to find some headache tablets. One of the reception staff noticed that she wasn’t feeling her best and kindly reassured her, saying that if she needed anything at all, she should let them know. Such a simple act of kindness and concern made a huge difference and was greatly appreciated. Excellent customer service is often remembered long after a trip has ended, and the warmth, care and attention shown by the staff at this hotel are something we won’t forget. Thank you to everyone at Phi Hotel Garden Area Roma for helping to make my daughter’s birthday trip such a positive and memorable experience. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.
