Ares Rooms

This isn't the Ritz by any means, but it's a great value! The rooms were clean and high up in the building with a nice view out the window of neighboring rooftop gardens and church domes in the distance. I had a room with a shared bathroom and never had to wait to use it. Both shared bathrooms have bidets. One of the bathrooms has a very small shower, the other one has a tub. There's a small kitchen where you can keep your food. The place is in a very convenient location, a short downhill walk from Termini, near the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and the Colosseum is a relatively short downhill walk. The breakfast provided through a bar/restaurant around the corner, Il Pasticciaccio, was fantastic! The room got very warm in the heat and there was no A/C and a fan was finally brought in on my last day there.

Great location, nice basic rooms and very friendly staff. Price quality is perfect. We had the rooms with private bathroom. Breakfast is across the street in a nice café with some great croissants and other pastries. Would stay here again.

Location perfect just up the road from the Colosseum.. Good Price for area.. Not to far from Transport Metro.. Hotel is a floor in a block.. Room was OK.. There is a very small lift that takes you to your floor..
