B&B San Pietro Alle Fornaci

It’s based in the perfect location, very close to the city centre and well-balanced pricewise. Rooms were nice and clean and the owner is very kind and well mannered. We’re there for 3 nights. Definitely recommend it.

The room is very small and old, the shower as you will see from the pictures is the smallest I ever seen, the toilette covers is damaged, the window is broken and cannot be closed , the air conditioning is very poor, the machine is not working properly, the breakfast area as you will see from the pictures not existing, the only good thing is the distance from the Vatican city, which is very short. I would not go back there. Not Suggested.

My husband and I stayed at B&B San Pietro alle Fornaci in March 2019. This is a great location first of all to visit Vatican. (3 minutes walk). Busstop around the corner (bus 64 takes you into the city to Plaza Venetia (10-15 minutes) and back. We had the room with view to San Pietro Basilic. We had to get used to the modern colors of the room, but it is quiet, with a balcony that has sun from about 13 hours and a fridge, convenient bathroom, heating, comfortable bed. Friendly housekeeping (new sheets and towels every 2 days) coffee, tea. Excellent restaurant across the street (Trattoria, Pizzeria la Vittoria, definitely eat there, they serve great food for a good price). Supermarket 400 meters up the street. But remember...this apartment is on 4th floor, 100 steps up, take them slow and it will be alright. Colloseum can be reached by taking train from San Pietro Station to Ostiense (a few stops), change here to metro and then 2 stops. Very easy, took us about 30 minutes from door to door).
