B&B The Condottieri

Sketchy looking neighborhood but very nice when we walked around. Bus and train stop right in front of building. Never felt threatened. Inexpensive with no refunds, internet was good most of the time, Had to ask for ac to be turned on, refrigerator previously removed from room to clean but was returned. Had refrigerator & microwave & coffee maker in common room.

Avoid this place at all costs! A friend and I cancelled our stay after arriving to nobody at the door or available by phone. We spent over an hour with a booking website to get in contact with the employees. Upon arrival, the room was absolutely nothing like advertised. Rooms were much smaller and doors had no locks. This wasn't my idea of safe. Judging by the sketchy area and lies, we were told the cancellation policy was one night's stay. This was worth the penalty to feel safer and much closer to the sites (place was extremely difficult to find and nobody would answer the phone since it was disconnected). After making the agreement and paying cash, my friend and I left to find better housing. I finally check my credit card, and I was billed for 5 nights when I was explicitly told that my credit card was only for reservations and in no way could be charged! I'm currently filing fraudulent charges with this horrible place. Do NOT even consider this place. It's horrible to think scammers would operate on Easter weekend.

The booking page said it was 10min away from the center..we walked for 40min..20 by tram..if you're in Rome, you want to be sightseeing as fast as you can and not waste your time going back and forth to the hotel. I do not recommend to walk over there, specially at night, you will need to go through some very bad looking, dirty neighbourhoods. I know it's a Bed and Breakfast, but still the value was so poor for what we paid (90 euros for a night). The heating didn't work and we had such a cold night. Also, it may say windows are soundproofed, but still, there is a busy highway passing next to it and it will wake you up, or maybe what will wake you up will be the owners talking in the kitchen, which you will hear since the doors (that don't have locks) are from such a thin wood. The first time we entered our room it was filled with bags, like if they were using it as a storage room and our bathroom smelled as if someone smoked there. The shower was full of mold and what we found to be the strangest thing, the sofa in the room was covered with a L'Oreal Paris towel...I do not recommend this B&B and will never go back.
