Casa Vacanze Chez Gabrielle

I would love to go back and stay but can't seem to book anywhere. Does anyone know if this is still an operating B&B this was such a great location, clean and very serene close to market and bus/train station Thank you

We were supposed to stay in Chez Gabrielle but the hosts had to cancel and refund us the booking fee because they needed renovate the apartment then. We were very lucky we chose them in the first instance because we asked Dino to pick us up at the airport (for the fee he would charge his guests) and what a godsend he was for our entire trip! He was an information booth, tour guide and a booking agent (he helped us book the tickets for the tours in Sistine Chapel) all rolled. Having his number in our handphones was a huge comfort. It felt like having a relative in strange land. I can only imagine what it must be like to stay at Chez Gabrielle!

As we were making our reservations, the only things we had to go by were pictures and guest comments. We were very happy with the results. We paid to have a true italian meal prepared by Daniela on our first night. The food was great and we had enough for the next night. Dino was extremely accomodating. He offered to take us to the train station or pick us up whenever we needed it. The information they provide in the apartment is very helpful. I would definately recommend this apartment, We left Rome and went to Florence and Venice and neither of those apartments came close to the satisfaction we received here. To get downtown you can walk to the bus stop (7 min), take the bus to the metro station and take the metro downtown. It takes about 45 minutes total if you don't get a ride from Dino to the metro station. We were okay with the time.
