Unfortunately, my stay at Hotel Demetra in Rome was very disappointing. Upon check-in, I discovered that the room was not properly prepared. There were no bathroom amenities, and there was no kettle, tea, or coffee in the room. For a 4-star hotel, I believe these are basic amenities that guests should expect. The biggest disappointment, however, was the attitude of the Front Office Manager. Instead of apologizing and resolving the issue professionally, he behaved in an arrogant manner and repeatedly stated that only he and the General Manager make the decisions. This is not the level of customer service one expects from a 4-star hotel. I would like to make it clear that my review is not directed at the entire hotel staff. Some employees were polite and tried to be helpful. However, the behavior of the Front Office Manager completely ruined my overall experience. I travel frequently and stay in many hotels, so I can confidently say that this level of service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.

Was a little bit concerned about our stay at this hotel after reading a few reviews but I’m so glad we booked Demetra. It’s about a 5/10 minute walk from the Roma Terminal station in a nice little quiet road. There’s a restaurant below the hotel which we tried and enjoyed and a few little other restaurants near by. It is on a road so there is a bit of traffic noise but not enough to give you a bad nights sleep. The rooms are a tad on the small size but perfectly fine for what you need. The bathroom is actually quite big and the shower is amazing! Air con worked perfectly fine too. Everything was clean and staff was friendly. Mini fridge and safe in the room. Free water on arrival. The hotel isn’t hard to find if you’re using Google maps, just look out for the sign! The area is in a good location, everything within walking distance! I would definitely recommend and would go back in a heartbeat. Great hotel!

The hotel was clean in a quiet area close to the starting point with the transport but also the distance to the famous places was quite easy, its breakfast quite good and rich, finally the staff always kind and helpful!
