Domus Romana

Nice and original hotel since it is half youth hostel, half classic hotel. We were there as a family on the youth hostel side with a private room with 4 bunk beds. Spacious room. Some people complain about the mattresses, which can make noise when you move; we didn't have that issue, however it is true that the sheets don't stay on at all :-) The bathroom was clean, practical, but a little small. Air conditioning in the rooms and laundry facilities available. Staff really very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast good, fresh, and varied in sweet/savory options. On-site there is a beautiful inner courtyard/patio where you can have a drink and/or eat. The location is perfect and allows you to do many things on foot: 10 mins from Termini station or the Pantheon, 15 mins from the Trevi Fountain, 20 mins from the Roman Forum, 35 mins from the Vatican... Very good spots to eat nearby, including an excellent ice cream parlor.

A really nice hotel, half inn, half classic hotel. Impeccable cleanliness, large room with a very comfortable terrace, and very welcoming staff. Slippers and a complimentary bottle of water, which is nice upon arrival. Varied breakfast, and on-site, there is the possibility to eat or have a drink in the pleasant and relaxing patio. A beautiful discovery where I will book again for a future stay in Rome.

If you are American AVOID THIS PLACE. Also, check your bank account for double charges. It is as if they assume we are all rich which we are not. This was our first stop on our honeymoon and do not recommend. It put a damper on the Rome trip in general.
