Genny Rooms Piazza di Spagna

After reading the limited reviews I was concerned. However, they could not be further from the truth! After contacting us in advance to confirm arrangements we received nothing but kind hospitality from the moment we arrived. Location - superb - located just of the Piazza de Spagna, literally round the corner from the Spanish steps and 5 minutes from the Trevi fountain. The room - exactly like the photos! Spotlessly clean, serviced daily with free toiletries, towels etc, great air conditioning, a flat screen tv, amazing shower and great WiFi. We even had a fridge stocked with free cold water. There is a lovely shared kitchen with free hot drinks and access to crockery. The owner could not have been more helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend - you will not get anything this nice and well placed for this price.

We rented a quad room with a private bath via Hotels dot com. The listing contains untrue information. The most important being that, in reality, there is NO wifi in this establishment. If you rent here, you should know that you are renting very basic rooms with cot-style beds. The bathroom was filthy. There is a cleaning person, but it's obvious that she does the bare minimum of cleaning between guests. I guarantee you she has never cleaned behind the shower doors. The shower was disgusting, with all kinds of mold and other things growing. The hot water heater must be quite small, because after only a few minutes, the hot water stopped. I had to turn the shower off, then turn it back on again. I have very short hair, and I could barely wash it. Our quad room shared a kitchen with another set of rooms. We only stayed one night and did not use the kitchen. But we also shared a front door to the "apartment" with guests on the other side of the kitchen. They came home late after partying pretty hard and were very loud. I'm happy they had fun, but the walls are paper thin and they kept me awake for awhile. The only good thing about these rooms is the location. The price was cheap (you get what you pay for....), and the location is only about two blocks from the Piazza Spagna. Great street, very central. I have stayed at many budget lodgings around Italy, and this is one of the least pleasant. I would not stay here again. Only because of the great location do I give this property two stars.
