Gentes B&B

We booked to stay here in Rome as it seemed the most affordable in a very expensive place. However, when we got to the location, there were no signs or indication where the hotel was. We could see the hotel next to it but no sign of Gentes B&B. We asked around and walked around the area and no sign of it anywhere. We called the number provided and it sounded like someone answered first time (background noise) but no one spoke and then cut out. We tried again several times after and consistently said ‘user busy’. We messaged Hotels.com and they tried to get them to look into it and they couldn’t get hold of them either.. I don’t know what was going on! Hotels.com we’re eventually very helpful after 2.5 hours of messaging on the app and on hold to gather relocation team, they helped sort alternative accommodation for us. Long story short: don’t waste your time/money. I’ve never had this before and was a shock to us there’s no checks before hand from hotels.com etc.

Nice place, nice stay! Cristina (the host) is easy going and always ready to help/cooperate. The place is cosy - there are many small things that give it a final touch) I appreciated a safe in the room and availability of tea /coffee in the kitchen throughout the whole day :)

lovely owners made us feel very welcome, explained to us where everything was and how to get there :) 10 minute walk to the Colosseum where we had dinner every night nice quiet neighborhood at night so you can get some sleep 2 minute walk to manzoni metro line very handy and easy to use to get around Rome. fresh coffee in the morning with a little breakfast we made cheese on toast with a bit of fruit we would stay here again :) would definatley recommend this b&b X
