Hotel Di Rienzo

For the money this hotel is amazing . 15 minutes from the colosseum. 5 minutes from the metro and hop on hop off bus. So clean . Tea and coffee and croissants and biscuits in the room . Lovely people . Was sceptical as only 1 star but booked because of trip advisor reviews .

We arrived and were met by warm and friendly service. Our room was on the second floor; we were very impressed by the quirky fresh and clean look of our room. The bathroom was very modern and I loved the shower area. It was filled by natural light and very spacious. The hotel is based very close to Roma Termini and Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore. We cannot wait to head back to Roma and Hotel Di Rienzo!!!

Good: The hotel is more like a hostel, rooms and showers are super tiny! But he location is great- a ton of markets and cafes/restaurants nearby. Colosseum was only 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel, and the Termini train station was about 5-7 min walk, which was very convenient, since we got to the city on the train. The owner is a very friendly lady, Daniela. She would leave us snacks and instant coffee/tea bags and some jam every morning for quick breakfast. I am a type of person who does not like being hungry for a long time in the morning trying to look for a cafe to sit down, so i appreciate it. Bad: There was no A/C, but I guess it's our fault, we assumed every hotel room in Europe would have one... and it was July..but, the owner was nice enough to buy us a fan was a big help! But still something to consider.
