Hotel Mimosa

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Mimosa. They arranged for us to be picked up at the Rome airport and driven directly to the hotel. Our rooms were ready when we arrived even though we were early. We had two rooms and they were both comfortable and clean. There is a vending machine with snacks, water and coffee in the hotel which was very convenient. There is a great cafe around the corner and the Pantheon is less than a five minute walk. The Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and many other sites are in walking distance of the hotel. There are great restaurants close. The Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiore are also in walking distance and have lots of great restaurants for dinner. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Daniel went out of his way to help us get a large taxi to take us and our luggage to the train station. We traveled to Florence and then returned to Hotel Mimosa for our last night in Italy. Again our rooms were ready when we arrived early. We had two different rooms then before and they were both very nice, clean, and comfortable. I slept great. They pre-arranged for transportation back to the Rome airport the next morning. Everything was perfect and they made our trip easy and relaxing. I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

I could only give it a 2 rating because I need my sleep. Stayed 2 nights and was awake at 3-4 am both nights because of noise and yelling from the street. (We were in room #5). Rooms are very basic with no amenities for the higher $$$. Our friends stayed at a nearby hotel for same price with bigger bathroom and breakfast included. On a good note, staff very friendly, hotel is located walking to all tourist attractions, and police everywhere, so pretty safe. Unfortunately can not recommend to friends and will advise our travel agent.

This hotel is pretty ghetto. It's in a good location but it's like sleeping in an army barrack with lots of hard uncomfortable beds. I guess this hotel might be good for young adults who want to share a room with lots of beds that 6 or 7 people can share. The rooms are dumpy and that's putting it mildly. But for the same price you can get a much nicer hotel in the same area of Rome. Two thumbs down. Can you say "yuck!!"
