We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Pulitzer Roma! It is a beautiful, medium-sized hotel that is exceptionally nice and clean. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are clean and beautiful, though they are on the smaller side. The most unique feature was the in-room fridge, which is incredibly tiny—almost like a small bathroom cabinet! I have never seen a fridge that small before. The property itself might need a little bit of renovation in some areas, but it is still in very good condition. The location is not central, but it is very close to a metro and bus station. If you prefer a taxi, a ride costs 15–20 euros to get to a central attraction quickly. Because the surrounding area is mostly residential, finding a restaurant nearby is not very easy. However, right next to the hotel, there are two small grocery shops with very nice owners, as well as a local café (though the owner there wasn't quite as friendly).A huge highlight for us was the breakfast, which was very good by Italian standards (which are usually quite simple). We really enjoyed our time here!

So this would actually have been a 5 star review if it wasn’t for an incident with a taxi at the end. Hotel Is Lovely and Staff very friendly! Couldn’t fault. The jacuzzi and balcony is definitely worth it. So here’s what happened. We asked the hotel to book a taxi which they did and gave us a ticket. We had a taxi pull up saying they were the taxi so we jumped in it. This taxi tried to charge us triple the price of the ride when we got to the airport. I argued with them and did manage to get the ride halved. I called the hotel to complain and they said we got in the wrong taxi. Did we or is it a scam? If it wasn’t a scale then I think the hotel could be a lot clearer to guests that this could happen. They just said a white taxi and gave me the drivers name but the driver can say there name is whatever so unless you are going to check ID which I don’t realise was required in Rome! Anyway they can definitely make it clearer to guests which would save the hassle as this did put a negative experience on the hotel.
