We we travel to Rome we stay at the Hotel Scalinata di Spagna. We like its central location and the comfortable feel of the place and its friendly and helpful staff. When we made it to our superior room with a view we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel had expanded to a nearby elevator building with excellent views and well-appointed modern rooms. Although we are not staying at The Hassler, one of the fanciest hotels in Rome which is across the street, we had a marvelous view of the Hassler and the Piazza Trinite Monte at the top of the Spanish Steps. The next time we are in Rome we definitely will return to the Hotel Scalinata di Spagna.

This place was amazing. We had a family suite big enough for my grandson and I the location was absolutely beautiful. The sunset was incredible. If you don't like walking, it might not be the place for you, but there is a metro not too far just down the stairs, but you do have to walk back up the stairs to get to the hotel. There are plenty of cabs. They had an amazing breakfast that was part of the package. The hotel was so clean very quaint for being in the heart of the city It was still quiet at night very impressive. They also offered 10% off at the nice restaurant right outside. So close to everything in that area and then just a metro ride away to all the other places of interest but we walked everywhere. We definitely got our steps in when we came home in the evenings, but we're already planning our next stay there next year. The staff was so nice and accommodating.. We will be back..

The hotel is in an excellent area. Two minutes to Spanish stairs and the surrounding shopping and restaurants. We were upgraded with our room which gave us a lot more space. Breakfast was basic but was enough. Highly recommend the hotel
