We had a short stay in Rome, only 4 nights and we were very pleased by the services offered by this accommodation. Marco, the owner was very kind to us from the beginning of our mail conversations regarding the booking. It was a pleasure meeting him.
The room was spacious, very nice, very clean and with a private bathroom and balcony.
The metro station was just around the corner and getting to the city center would take around 10-15 minutes walking (short walking distance from Cola di Rienzo, crossing the bridge to Piazza del Popolo-Via del Corso). Also short walking distance to Vatican.
The breakfast was just fine and sufficient.
I warmly recommend this place and I will surely return to stay here next time I'll come to Rome.

We recently stayed at Maison Genevois for 5 nights. Our first visit to Rome, the directions given made getting there easy. We bused from Ciampino Airport then on to A Metro line to Lepanto, the apartment was only then a few minutes walk away. Marco was there for our arrival, offering a warm and friendly welcome . He showed us where everything was and offered advice and readily answered our questions on how to get about town, etc.
Within a residential block we felt safe and secure at all times and enjoyed the ability to be 'free agents'. Having access to a kitchen, and its' facilities was a bonus. Breakfast was continental and within the fridge there was a shelf for each room and a box which contained a fresh daily suppy of fruit, yogurt, butter and jam. There were croissants and cakes for each room and cereals and breads, along with teas and coffee in the kitchen, which you helped yourself to. More than adequate. You could chose to eat in the kitchen or your room.
The room we were in had ensuite, but no access to the balcony. As we spent all day out and about this wasn't an issue. We slept well as the environment was so quiet - though the full days of being on our feet, good food and wine probably added to this! The room whilst basic, with some areas needing updating, was more than acceptable for what we paid per night.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Rome and the location of this B&B is ideal for getting about and a quiet area to return to after the daily hussle and bustle. We easily walked about the city to the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, etc. but also used public transport without any difficulty. We took the metro/train to Ostia Antica- well worth the visit. On a couple of evenings we walked over the bridge towards Piazza del Popola where across the roads on the left (at tram stop) there's a very reasonable priced and tasty pizzeria.
If we return to Rome we wouldn't hesitate in getting in touch with Marco and checking if a room is available.

We had a lovely 3 night stay, Marco the owner was fantastic and so helpful from emailing directions and meeting us there to suggesting local places to visit and giving tips on getting around. The room was lovely, we had a great little balcony and though it was unseasonably cool and wet we enjoyed breakfast out there each day planning the day ahead. It's close but not too close, ensuring you get more of a 'local' feel for the place. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate recommending it!
