Pigneto Luxury Rooms

I don't understand how they can have great reviews as I personally had a terrible experience. 1) Noisy room, the tram went back and forwards all night long under our room, that would have been OK if it wasn't for the fact that makes vibrate door, bed, windows, tables; everything in the room, producing a horrible noises (like tatatatata) that despite my hear plugs and 3 pillows places on my head, kept me awake all night long. Already not happy about it I got to hear chatting and laughing from 7am on because we were next to the kitchen were people eat their late dinner and breakfast. I got migraine for the 2 days I stayed in Rome. 2) once again: despite the reviews the room wasn't really clean: the walls, the doors and the floor had stains and 3) the shower drain was so plugged that I could have taken a bath instead. After 3 minutes shower, the water on the shower floor was covering up my feet. I found it disgusting since I wasn't really sure they washed it after the preview clients left. 4) the breakfast included in the room is just old food left on a plate in the kitchen for (at least, because we just stayed thus much) 3 days. How can you leave this sweet bread stuff in the kitchen 1 week long to catch dust? How do you even give it to your clients!? 5) the zone Pigneto is dirty, dirty, dirty. There is poop on the road, it smells of pee everywhere and the rubbish (bottle, bags of trash, sigarettes, old food, plastic, glasses, etc) is accumulated in big quantity in every corner. I didn't felt secure when I was going out at night..

This is a charming old building that was probably luxury apartments 60yrs ago but has been converted into a hotel. As soon as you enter you come across a truly vintage elevator that just oozes old world charm. Once inside the actual hotel, it is beautiful. Well appointed with everything you need. While we were there the kitchen was stocked with lots of great treats to enjoy for free. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the view out the back is of old classic buildings and a beautiful courtyard. Great WiFi. Close to amazing food and metro stop.

We have been here for a week and have enjoyed our stay. The bed is comfy, breakfast is supplied in the communal kitchen, as well as cooking facilities. The quirky bits are the lift strajght out of the ark, the locks which make this establishment secure, the lights in tbe room keel you guessing as to what will come on. The staff are most helpful. The rooms are a little out of tbe city, but a direct tram gets you to Termini, where you can connect to everything. The eateries are good and reasonable priced around here. The first time here is difficult to find, but is simple after that. The only drawback is the noise of trams, traffic and rumbling of underground trains. Otherwise value for money.
