Relais Navona 71

Giovanni, the caretaker was very helpful. He helped you in every possible way. Telephone not in the room,Fridge not working.toilet flush system broke and lastly day before we leave they told us in the morning that we can not use toilet as we stopped the water ,just like that, atleast gave us 10 min to go to toilet or tell us in advance.Breakfast had fixed menu.coffee, one hard bread with butter jam and microwaved croissant. No sign of hotel you can see and no one knew it.ThankGod a restaurant chef called Giovanni and he let us come in .only number 71 is written on guest house. If taxi dropped you where Fountains are on your right side then you can see a buiding on left with 71 number,it has wall creepers.Free coffee we can make.

We were two couples. One couple had a superior room which was fine. We had a standard room which was advertised as facing a courtyard but actually faced a shaft that served as the restaurant exhaust with the accompanying odors. The biggest difficulty was from the air conditioner which was moldy and dispersed musty eye watering air in the room which could not be ventilated due to the aforementioned restaurant exhausts. We complained to the owner and his response was to spray the AC unit to no avail. He said there was nothing he could do. We called Booking.com and the owner told them there is no problem with the AC and that the problem is the old walls. A photo of the AC proved otherwise and we were provided alternative accommodations at an additional cost and a full refund by booking.com. The AC photo is attached. Also the building entrance is particularly unattractive.

My son and I had a great stay and will be back. Don’t be worried about the entrance though! Giovanni was super helpful and friendly and our stay felt like an authentic experience. Room was clean and spacious. We loved the location - hard to beat with everything nearby and a lovely evening atmosphere! Air con was great! Breakfast did the job for us! Thanks Giovanni!
