Romanico Palace

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day trip to Rome and staying in the Hotel Romanico Palace. It was in a good location with plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance. Something that we had missed when booking, is that there is no restaurant in the hotel. Good breakfast and a couple of bars which served snacks though. The roof top bar had stunning views and occasional entertainment. Prices were a bit on the high side, but it was worth it to look out on to the view. The hotel is plush and comfortable; the room was clean and a good size. One thing, for me, that would have been good to have, was a kettle and facilities to make a cuppa! Maybe other rooms have this. The shower was great - much needed for a hot holiday! The best thing about the hotel was the staff - they were amazing. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they were able to help us with anything we needed. Getting into the centre of Rome was relatively straightforward - taxis were available very quickly, and local buses were easy to navigate. And, we did a lot of walking..... Point to note is that although infomation says that you need to buy a ticket before getting on a local bus is out of date now - you just jump on, tap your card on the machine and off you go. At the time we went (June 2026) it cost about 1.50 euros (around £1.30) - amazing!

As well as the decor staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Hotel is within walking distance to most of the main sites. The restaurants and gelato shop in the surrounding streets are amazing.

This hotel is fabulous. All the staff are extremely friendly and ready to assist with anything. The food was wonderful and the roof top bar was the best.
