The accomodation is tidy and good for the price. There were issues with the bathroom while we were there but they were sorted out quickly and with out any fuss by our host Alessandra. Breakfast on all days apart from Sunday is received at the snack bar across the street from the accomodation, which was nice. There is also a lovely little street market where my partner and I got all sorts of delicious fresh fruit and vegetables. The closest metro stop is Tiburtina and there is a bus stop just outside the accomodation which is serviced by a route that goes to the station, although my husband and I both enjoyed the walk to and from the metro stop most days (it takes about 15-20 minutes). We managed to leave some clothes behind when we left and Alessandra has been very helpful in making sure that we get them back. This B&B makes a great base camp for exploring Rome.

I booked the shared bathroom room through Expedia and put in the special request that we would be checking in late as our train got in after the check-in hours. When we arrived at the yellow building, Security asked us to phone in the B&B. Our Host, Alessandra, did not speak much English (but she's learning it! She's very friendly and happy to teach you some Italian too :D ) She owns a Titanic bar/pub too but we didn't have time to check it out. Apparently Expedia did not inform her of the late check-in but she made her way to us really quickly. She said it's best to text her if we have any enquiries so she can use google translate if needed. Might be easier if the B&B's email address was listed so we can directly email instead of texting as it costs money. I love the family-oriented neighbourhood! Supermarkets, kebab shops and restaurants nearby. Feels very homely and it's a 15 min stroll from Tiburtina train station. You can also take a few buses to the station. The apartment has so much character, from the paintings to the piano. Very clean and comfortable. There are even breakfast snacks provided on the room's dresser! Would definitely stay there again!

We stayed for 4 nights and it was definitely a good place to sleep and a place to relax from the noisy and hectic city center. The owner was very kind too. The room and bathroom were clean and we had a small fridge available. A grocery store and a market were in the vicinity. It is not that close to the center and sometimes difficult to catch the bus next to the building, it was better to walk down 2 stops or walk to the nearest metro station (Tiburtina) but given the fact that we only went out/got in once a day it wasn't much of a problem.
