San Lorenzo Rooms

The room was VERY clean and in a good location for the price. The air conditioning was very powerful which was lovely in the 33 degrees Celsius Italian heat. They did offer breakfast online but it was just a couple of apples, a box of cake and some instant coffee and tea bags that were shared with everyone else. The gentlemen who checked us in was a bit unprofessional but fine. The keys to the room were a bit hit or miss and we would spend a long time trying to wiggle it to get in. Overall, I would definitely recommend the rooms for a night or two but probably not more

When we made the reservation I specifically asked if we can check in at 1am to 2am because our flight landed at night. They told us "yes, don't worry". When we came to the location we found keys that they left for us in an envelope with our name in it. We tried keys to every door a long time and they did not fit to the doors. Finally we reached someone at 4am via whats up and someone came at 4.30am to open the doors. He took the keys that were left to us and told that they were wrong keys and gave us new ones that fit the doors. Next day I asked for an explanation and for a discount because we spent several hours outside the hotel waiting after a long travel. They did not apologize at any point, told us we could leave right away but pay for the night in full. Even an apology would have made this mistake feel better but no. We were even told that this was our mistake because we arrived after office hours. Even though they left us the wrong keys and promised we can go to the hotel at night! In the room was air conditioner but there was no use to it because there is a round hole in the window. Because of the hole we could hear everything from the street. Only positive thing was a clean room.

Service was really good, always happy to help. Nice and clean room. Really quiet area. Good location, close to termini and shops. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheaper accommodation in Rome.
