This pretty ,authentic italian apartment was fabulous on all counts ..Rossana the hostess used to be a tour guide so you name it and she can tell you about it ..with lots of knowledge and tips ..she is warm and welcoming and so helpful ..the apartment is very spacious ..she supplied food and wine over and above any where ive ever stayed ..you get a voucher every morning for a coffee and croissant in the cafe downstairs and if you want anything else you just pay for it and it's not expensive ..there is a lift (we travelled with 2 elderly ladies(..Rossana directed us re taxis, buses, and tips on getting to see the Pope on the sunday morn ..it is a 5 min walk to st peter's basilica for the average walker ..slightly slower for our elderly ladies but very manageable ..plenty of shops and restaurants right beside the apartment ..it was about a 40 min taxi drive to the airport approx €55..the best thing about this apartment is Rossana..you will have a friend in Rome when you leave !

PROS:
1. The apartment is located in a nice building with lift.
2. Location in unbeatable, less than 10 minutes walk to Vatican City and to the Vatican Museum.
3. There is an aircon for heating in winter.
4. The taxi rank is literally just downstairs.
5. There are 2 bathrooms with bidet, and a washing machine.
6. Bus stop is just across the road.
7. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood, in fact there are 2 restaurants/cafes downstairs, and a gelato shop.
8. The kitchen and fridge is fully stock for anything one would ever need, like biscuits, cakes, cereals, coffee, nutella, red wine, white wine, butter, yogurt, milk, and orange juice
9. The owner Rossana, provides daily vouchers for coffee and delicious croissants from Mancini cafe downstairs.
10. The owner Rossana is a former tour guide and she enriched us with information, tips, how to commute in Rome. She provided us with maps, so don't bother getting a map at the airport.
11. There are ponchos, folding and regular umbrellas you can use, so we didn't bother to buy one when we did a day trip to Pompeii.
12. The owner gave each of us delicious tiramisu from Pompi for my son's birthday.
13. The three of us were provided with our own key which was so handy.
CONS:
Wished we could have stayed longer than 6 nights.

Very spacious apartment, six of us were comfortable. The owner Rossana, a former tour guide, is disarmingly sweet and helpful despite her age-related ailments. He welcomed us in the hours before check in, giving us valuable advice on what to visit, which buses to take, also drawing us routes and maps. In short, everything beyond the normal "employment relationship". The location of the Vatican view apartment is perfect for getting around on foot or by bus. What to say? We hope to see you again soon dear Rossana
