Agriturismo Il Marrugio

I grew up in Tuscia and every time I return in recent years I always come to eat at this agritourism. The environment is simple and informal as befits an agritourism, the proposed dishes and the service are good. However, I want to highlight two aspects: the first is the exceptional value for money by managing to book with TheFork....the second, the most important one, is the very high quality of the cured meats; in my opinion these cured meats, their production method, the quality of the raw material and consequently their flavor represent true, rare and precious works of art in stark contrast to the rest of the industrial and mediocre products that invade the world of gastronomy. I truly offer my most heartfelt compliments to those who produce these sausages with passion and commitment.

We arrived and the table was already set up poorly, 10 minutes to understand that an extra table was needed, a customer moved to let us sit (thanks) we managed to sit down....and they already knew what they had to bring, except for one who chose from the menu....and there the odyssey begins....after being left to ourselves we ask for water....a rare event around here...2 bottles for 15 people... the appetizer arrives with small pieces of cold cuts, no presence of cheeses, a couple of olives and one bruschetta each, one platter for 4.....truly poor in content. Oh well, we ask for wine, one bottle for 4...bread, a basket when the waiter is comfortable and passes by, no pasta....we move on to the mixed grill....of only pork (the mixed one, and it's not well understood why they call it mixed) one plate for 2, one is left out....then it will arrive at his leisure, there's no rush, but first we are counted like sheep three times...to understand if we are entitled to it, even if that weren't the case....we ask you for it (put it on the bill). Whoever ordered from the menu, the side dish never arrived, not even after asking the waitress...who in response will ask us who wants dessert (absurd)....finished dessert, the dining room was empty since we started when the other customers were already at coffee....exactly coffee, I ask for coffee but the waiter counts the seats at the table in the room, looks at me annoyed and starts counting again....I ask him again, he looks at me, finishes counting the tables and walks away....we wait about 10 minutes and get up for the bill...odyssey, there is no change for cash, the coffee is on Mars....the waiter or owner, it's not clear... gets up and leaves....5 minutes later the waitress passes by and will ask us, but the bill? If your boss/colleague has disappeared, you do it, right..?....do the bill, we manage to get a figure, we start paying...but the coffee? Oh well, I get to pay and the bill is correct, I look at them, now he was there too....it's paid, I say, but they turn a deaf ear....they charge me 35€, disconcerted I tell them that I didn't eat the dessert, it would be 30€, but the coffees? and if you already had the requested sum, why are you making me pay? tell me, see with your friends here, the bill is paid....and instead nothing, even annoyed that I asked for the 5€ back....TRULY TERRIBLE SERVICE TERRIBLE FOOD QUANTITY TERRIBLE FRIENDLINESS A PLACE TO AVOID

Bad reception from a woman who joined me squirming and "will to work jump on me". Spartan rooms, no attention, with small and uncomfortable bed. Dinner to forget, pasta was saved only with oil and cheese, poor service. Mediocre breakfast where a lady doesn't even greet you. Forget the address!
