As a terminal romantic... I liked this hotel in spite of several flaws that did not hinder the fact that I slept well, and did not deter from the great location a few steps away from the seafront, the old town, the train station, many restaurants. The owner is excited about what she does and is extremely helpful in suggesting trips around the region (Cinque Terra). The building has the faded loveliness of ca. 1900 travel. The modern decor can be ignored, the tiny bathroom installed in the rooms makes it a bit of a squeeze... If you need to work a bit, I found the salon great... there are books there and board games... The price was excellent (about €120 for two nights, two adults) and the copious breakfast meant energy for the first half of the day exploring the region by bus (which stops in front of the hotel), by boat (to Portofino) and by train... If I return to Rapallo, I will be going back there... ONE NOTE FOR ALL accommodation owners: PUT SOME MULTIPLE PLUGS IN THE ROOMS... Nowadays we have to charge up a bunch of electronic gadgets!
