The parameters for choosing a holiday home are changing over time, so from time to time the spaces available can be important, or the convenience to services, or the distance from the sea, or other... it is a fact that in recent years many tourists are looking for air conditioning, entertainment, TV, a stable and wide Wi-Fi signal. I am not going to pass judgment on these parameters, but it is important to clarify that anyone who meets the characteristics of the average tourist in 2025 could seriously find themselves in trouble at the La Francesca Village: air conditioning is not there, entertainment is not even, TV is paid (and subject to availability) and the Wi-Fi signal is there but not everywhere. Then you can walk to the beach (downhill on the way, uphill on the way back!) and the same goes for the pool (uphill on the way, downhill on the way back) and for other services, from tennis courts to minimarket/bar to restaurant. The apartments are certainly a bit dated in furnishings and finishes (maybe you could fix the windows and floors), but they are certainly spacious and functional, with everything you need (great beds, plumbing accessories of the bathrooms, linen) and no frills. So why award top marks? Simple: because the setting is magnificent, with all the houses well inserted in a forest of thriving Mediterranean scrub, because going out on that balcony with an immense sea in front gives a sense of priceless peace, because you can sleep with the window open and the sound of the sea in the background, because in the evening the village is lit only where you need it and then you see the stars as in few other places, because the superfluous is not there but the necessary is everything, because you can go to the convenience store to look for a sponge and yes, go out with a sponge instead of with all the packaging (and after having a chat with the lady who manages it), ultimately because you live a slower, less connected and more pleasantly disorganized holiday than those to which we are all getting used. As for the facilities, we used the pool (very large and well maintained), the convenience store and the bar, both run by a very efficient and kind lady. We haven't tried the restaurant. The two female employees of the Reception are also prepared, kind and welcoming, as is the boy who holds the pool. We also generally appreciated the idea behind it: we are guests of a natural environment and we let this environment dictate the rules, so we generally grasp an idea of respect and sobriety also on energy and resource consumption, with a clear focus on waste management (there are more places where it is possible to deliver and sort waste). And then so much silence. We take inside a really relaxing and enjoyed week, in an area of Liguria that we deeply love for nature that still dominates the scene and for those small towns where time still passes slowly: Bonassola, Montaretto, Anzo, Setta, ... and then come back every night on that balcony!

Immersed in the Mediterranean scrub, lovely place and a bit 'spartan. Far from the idea of a holiday village, it is suitable for those seeking tranquility and contact with nature. Restaurant with breathtaking terrace and Ligurian dishes, slightly revisited

Very very bad place .. outside temperature 31 centigrade .. inside apartment 39 centigrade .. impossible to stay in .. we try to find some fresh place .. restaurant was closed for customers but open for a private event .. we try to find some fresh beverage … but supermarket was closed it did open later 6-7 pm .. finally the swimming pool was an option .. we order an ice cream but it was melted .. freezer was not at appropriate temperature .. minor side effect .. in the apartment WiFi was not working as well Mobile Internet .. all these amenities for 180 euros per night
