If you're looking for somewhere quiet away from the masses with wonderful views, these apartments are ideal. TBH it's a bit of a hike up and down a lot of steps, but after a bellyful of pasta in town, the walk counter-balanced it. Marco is a great host, very helpful and was so accommodating in lieu of our late arrival. The room is fairly basic, but suited our needs and we loved the balcony. Bellagio is not a cheap place to stay, so we thought this was excellent value for money.

The apartments are not in the centre. As a result it's quiet. Getting from and to town is a good cardiac workout up a steep cobblestoned shortcut. Could be hazardous in the rain. At night, poorly lit, you need a torch. The apartment we had was clean, functional and spacious. The view of the lake ok. You have to stand at a window to look at it. No french doors through which you can see it from your bed or the sofa. The owners offer to pick you up at the waterfront if you are arriving by boat. Otherwise it’s a taxi, or you hoof it, if you know the way (the shortcut). When you arrive, check in is done in the appartment and payment is immediate. You can pay by card; there is a €6 local tax that you must pay by cash. All very perfunctory. We had a bedside light that didn't work and a loo seat that was dangerously loose. We notified the owners through booking.com, they said they would get on to it. They didn’t. At check out nothing was said on their part. We let it go. The Six Million Dollar Question: If we were to visit Bellagio again, would we stay there? Answer: NO We had friends staying in the centre of Bellagio at a cheaper rate!

We rented two apartments at Casa La Rosa for 3 nights (one for myself and my husband which was studio with queen bed, and other 1-bedroom apartment for our two teenage sons, each one had their own bed to sleep in) , both apartments had full kitchen, private bathroom and had large windows with amazing views (2nd floor ). There was a small balcony that you can seat, relax and enjoy the views. Villa was about 10 min walk from town, it’s quite a bit of stairs but we don’t mind walking. Free parking was a plus as we had a car. Owners live on the neighbor property so we had no problems with check in. Overall we had great stay and definitely recommend this place! Cons: No air conditioner, so it’s could get hot in summer Our bed was a bit uncomfortable , need better mantras
