I am a long-standing member of TRIPADVISOR and I can vouch for complete dishonesty with this location. I booked an overnight via BOOKING.COM and received a note from "VALERIA" the day we were due to check-in that the apartment was unavailable due to "technical difficulties". I was told to cancel via BOOKING.COM and they would support me with an email confirming a full refund. My trip was last April (2023) and despite multiple attempts at outreach (all received/confirmed) via WhatsApp - where she originally asked me to cancel - I have received ZERO responses and am about EUR130 down. BOOKING.COM have also been useless in resolving the situation despite assuring me 3 times that they would step in and refund me if things remained unresolved. I have lost my faith in SALVECCHIO (book at your peril) and BOOKING.COM (no support worth talking about) and despite the positive reviews here, would caution people "CAVEAT EMPTOR".

Lovely place in the heart of Città Alta. We did not have a booking before we arrived at Bergamo 6pm. Called directly and was met with only positivity- felt welcomed right away. 10 minutes after a friendly lady greeted us outside the b&b - showed us what we needed to know, gave us the keys and left. The rooms are very specious, beautifully authentic decorated. We had two big rooms, both with separate bathrooms with showers. Very clean! The next morning a beautiful breakfast waited for us, prepared by the most lovely two persons - you made our day with everything you shared! We loved it!

We had two nights here in double room. Friendly Manager and breakfast lady as well. Room comfortable, and plenty of room Handshower in bath without a wall peg was only drawback, as hard to shower easily. Breakfast was great! Fabulous location right in heart of old upper town, and easily accessible by taxi from train station in lower town. Not walkable, but there also appear to be buses that run to the station from the outer edge of town. Would stay again.
