Cristallo Palace

We stayed only one night at this hotel because we had a very early flight the next morning from Orio al Serio airport. The hotel made an excellent impression on us: elegant, well-kept, and about a 7-minute drive from the airport. The reception staff was very professional and helpful, the room was clean, and the bed was truly comfortable. There is free parking available outside, but I personally recommend using the hotel's covered parking, for a fee, for greater peace of mind. The only small inconvenience was due to the heavy rainstorm that hit Bergamo during the night. We were on the sixth floor and, because of the bad weather, a little water leaked in from the top of the window, so much so that we had to put some towels on the windowsill. I believe it was an exceptional incident related to the bad weather and not a shortcoming of the hotel, but I simply suggest checking the window seals. Overall, we had a very good experience and we recommend it both to those who need to depart from Bergamo airport and to those who want to visit the city while staying in a comfortable property.

April 2026, Bergamo very nice and good weather. Despite all sites saying rooms are air conditioned, ours wasn't. They even moved us to another room which didn't have working air con. Every morning we complained we were given various reasons. 'its on winter setting' , 'it will be on 4 hours during day to cool the room, 'some one will look at it after the weekend'. On our last day (a Monday) the air con was on when we got back to room about 4pm. It was off again by 10pm and room still warmed up. Another thing was that there was no bar, although you could get bottled beer and wine in restaurant. It looked like it had a bar but not at present. There was a sign that said 'Stay tuned for our new look'. I must say the staff were very good and apologetic, but we really wanted a cool room.

The hotel perfectly fulfills its function as a business hotel. Competent officials. Appropriate facilities. A good level breakfast. Some guests with little civism will insist and. Smoking in the room. So you feel a slight odor to something similar to tobacco smoke. Would we stay at the hotel again? No doubt. There may be some noise especially from planes that pass not very far. But nothing that doesn't happen, for example, is more intense in Lisbon.
