Gufo Hotel

We stayed at Hotel Gufo for one night and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are super clean and well maintained. Varied breakfast, with an excellent choice of both sweet and savory. From the dining room you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the slopes. The only small flaw was the pillows a bit too high and the light filtering through the window.

The property could use a refreshment, but it is located in the center and has a private parking that is very convenient. Bormio is expensive, so even if the price seems excessive at first glance for such an outdated hotel, it can fit. The rooms are not soundproof at all, you have to hope to have polite neighbors and / or without screaming children, otherwise you do not rest well. The cleaners make a lot of confusion, they woke us up before 9am, both because they talk and laugh out loud and use a noisy vacuum cleaner like a lawnmower, and because they use a knock on the door (if you sleep, you wake up!) Breakfast offers delicious homemade cakes and also the savory part is well assorted, with good quality products. Very picturesque is the external sign of the wooden owl, with its yellow eyes that illuminate the darkness at night. Terrible, by contrast, the stuffed eagle owl that dominates the breakfast room😁

excellent family run hotel, clean and with all the comforts, dogs are welcome and are not paid extra, the breakfast is fantastic with superlative homemade cakes, the carrot cake wow not to mention the chocolate one and the fabulous tart then in the afternoon there is the nice and comfortable bar on the main street, both the owners and the girl who works there are very kind and courteous, helpful, in short you feel at home and the location is fantastic on the street with a beautiful view close to the lifts 5/6 min walk to bus stop bus under the hotel we will return soon thank you
