B&B Monteverdi

The B&B is in a good location, not far from the city centre. The rooms are clean but very basic - no bedside tables nor a coat hook. Lighting was provided by a single floorlamp. Even though I visited in the second half of October, the heating was off, and the room was quite chilly. The breakfast is like the rooms - perfectly acceptable but basic. A big plus is that it is available all day. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. All in all a reasonably good choice if you are looking for a budget room near the centre.

If you are a student: I recommend to spend less and go to some hostels. If you are a couple/family: I will recommend to spend bit more and go to some better place/hotel. CONS: It was very noisy in night. We were at first floor, and we could clearly listen receptionist talking to people and listening loud music. Anyways, the breakfast was also awful. Although it was 24 hours available, it would be better if they provide only for 3 hrs in the morning but something nice to eat. PROS: Location, very close to metro Loreto which is very well connected to other parts of the city.

This is a good place to stay for budget travellers. It's about 20min walk to Milano Centrale train station and about 45-50min walk to the centre. There's a few places to eat close by. Our room was huge with a balcony but as the previous review before has stated, it's not really a place to sit around and relax. Our door doesn't close properly either and I didn't mind the old room furnishings. Bed was comfortable enough and they provide you with soap and towels. Wifi connection is good too and our room comes with a TV but offer mostly italian channels. Bathrooms were okay, the shower area closest to our room (1st floor) was so small and not very clean but the other bathroom a few metres away was much better. Breakfast options were very basic but tea, coffee and hot chocolate facilities were ok. The owner and staff were nice and friendly. Overall, it's a good budget place to stay in Milan for a few days.
