Holiday Inn Express Milan Malpensa

no shuttle we had to call hotel and they sent it but we have to oay $5 each way. the free shuttle is 10 minutes away. At the hotel nit so friendly especially the older bartender. The younger bartender and wait staff were great. A/C not working in room when we complained they said its controlled from front desk. no one told us this at check in we slept with window open and welcoming the mosquitoes. finally leaving the hotel on our pre paid shuttle it was over booked and they had to drive back to the crown plaza. no room for luggage so put in the aisle. Highly not recommend

Had a 2 night stay here and I would return. It’s very close to the airport and has plenty of parking - we were in our own car but understand that there is an airport shuttle - although according to some guests there is a slight walk to the shuttle stop. It feels like it’s in a weird location - close to Malpensa airport, industrial units, random open spaces and houses. Greeted as Diamond member at check in. Chose points as my welcome amenity and because we had to queue the receptionist gave us 2 x drinks vouchers also. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we had a king sized bed which is unusual for an Express. Shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. Second night we used our drinks vouchers and the barman said he’d bring over a complimentary snack - a large plate of crisps, peanuts and tarallini. 5 minutes later he appeared with 4 slices of pizza - we did say we couldn’t eat it as we had dinner booked at a local restaurant so he took it away. Breakfast was very good with lots of fresh choices including eggs and bacon as well as the usual continental selections. Didn’t have dinner in the hotel as we walked around 10 minutes to a fantastic restaurant, Samarcanda - the food was so good we went back there on our second night.

The booked room was sufficiently large and clean, the bathroom was spacious for two, the breakfast was abundant and varied, the reception was very good, and the hotel is just a few minutes from Malpensa and the airport parking lots, as well as those further out. Adequate price.
