Hotel Sunset City

The rooms are very small and the bathroom was a mess. No shower curtain. Very noisy 24h and the staff can only speak english very little and arent freindly. In comparison with other hotels and regarding the situation in the city is the price not too bad though.

We stayed 2 nights in July 2011 when it was awfully hot and the airco was not working proprely, it threw hot air. The problem is that the room was oriented south and getting warmer and warmer during the day. They only turn on the airco between 16h and 22h for energy saving reasons but it did not even worked. We complained the first night and the only answer we received was that they could do nothing about it during night hours. But the day after the problem remained exactly the same. The hotel is cleaned and modern but located in an area where there is nothing to do (only one decent restaurant nearby). The swimming pool closes at 18h30 and it is closed on Tuesday and Thursday morning. Some of the receptionnnists are very helpful and nice but you have to be lucky. Overall, we were very disappointed and we found it expensive.

The hotel was particularly clean, completely refurbished, breakfast was excellent but the only problem is the location, it is located in the corner of a noisy paved street with cars and streetcars
