Excellent location with shopping and the Duomo within feet. The atmosphere was excellent. The room was perfect and it was especially nice to receive an upgrade! The room was exceptionally spacious, clean, comfortable, and well worth the price. Their amenities were perfect.

We went with slight trepidation due to the varying reviews, however we found it absolutely perfect. The location just couldn't be bettered - between the Duomo and La Scala and overlooking the Galleria Emanuele Vittorio. From the concierge who just couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant through to reception and to the cleaning staff, there was not one person who didn't greet you with a smile and willingly help.
Our room was spacious and spotless. The bed linen and towels were lovely. There were wonderful Ortigia toiletries in little bottles that I much prefer to the large refillable ones. The room was full of art. Each room is designed and decorated by a different artist. Ours was very modern with 3D installations. I wouldn't want it at home but it was great to look at.
I asked for an ironing board and it was there within a minute. We asked for a taxi and it was there within a minute or two. We asked for a place just for a snack lunch that locals would go to and were sent somewhere so authentic that they didn't speak English and the food was delicious.
Breakfast was of an excellent quality with anything and everything all taken overlooking the Galleria which is an amazing work of art. Again the staff were brilliant.
I could find nothing to complain about other than the air conditioning which was pretty useless. I am beginning to wonder if it is an 'Italy' thing because it seems a common problem.
