Best Western Hotel Continental

Set in a great location for Station, town and lake. Staff friendly and helpful, plenty of choices at breakfast and gluten free options as well. Room kept clean and towels changed every day. Vending machines in reception were great for snacks and drinks. Not much storage space in bathroom or to hang hand towels. Could hear water flushing and shower noise from other rooms. Overall a comfy and clean stay.

Nice clean room. Close to train station and the lake. Easy to get to. Great breakfast option.

Just back from 4 nights here . Hotel good position for town and train station. Also catching buses like to Menaggio which was quicker than ferry and more frequent. Breakfast good with excellent gluten free for me as I asked and was given about 6 packed items for breakfast which was great . Staff friendly and helpful. Room was smaller than expected but clean . Changed towels every day . Only problem was 6 hangers on a rail as wardrobe space and 2 tiny shelves in bathroom so nowhere to put toiletries other than a small desk near coffee machine . Rooms are definitely not soundproof as constantly heard scrapping of chairs and loud water and taps from either next door or above ( we were on 1st floor ) . One night we had to listen to a couple having a very loud argument for 10 minutes straight so bring ear plugs as there is a lot of door slamming throughout the night as not very considerate neighbours . In all a decent located hotel but needs a bit of TLC as room a bit tatty . Also make a visit to El Sombrero as very friendly and decent meals very decent price and 2 minutes walk out of hotel on corner to left . Worth a visit
