Residence Ruculi

We had a really nice and spacious apartment with a sensational view of the lake. A dream. Unfortunately, that was already the positive. I'm physically very limited with a broken knee, so is my girlfriend. But there is no help for the luggage and there are just too many stairs. You would have to be advised of this before booking. The lady at the reception unfortunately not very helpful and only very moderately friendly. If you're unlucky you don't get a parking space as a hotel guest in the evenings, as there are also visitors to the pizzeria parked there. Again, no help from the house and there is no possibility to park elsewhere. You have to take out garbage yourself. It's also totally okay for me, but not if the big garbage cans are totally off the top of the terrain and we live at the bottom. The apartment itself unfortunately totally noisy and it is actually always loud there, like when furniture is moved all the time or similar. Overall, the house is run with little attention to detail and little customer friendliness, which is a great pity.

Well to start with… getting there on a Sunday without a car is impossible, we never actually made it, well I appreciate most cars in the carpark were from Germany, getting there from England isn’t really a driving option, We stayed somewhere else Sunday. Public transport: buses are a mixed bag of turning up on time, charging or not and there’s no bus up to the hotel on a Sunday, or a taxi, we tried uber and it just didn’t happen, local taxis were busy So we got there Monday. The hotel has some pros and cons so in my option it’s better to be honest. The views are amazing The indoor pool is cold - a pro as it was hot outside The apartment was really nice The beds are comfy The surrounding area is beautiful The slope or steps to the hotel are insane, I’m physically fit and struggled The noises in the room through the night were either loud water filling something or horrible intense screeching noises (didn’t sleep well) You have to empty your own bins Half the hobs on the oven didn’t work The gym has three machines, the running machine didn’t work, it’s not a fitness Centre Balancing how this hotel is in such a great place versus how uncomfortable the room was, mainly at night, is something I’d have to do next time, plus getting here was arduous

I was really very unhappy to have found the surprise of 3 or more flights of stairs to get to the apartments, whichever you take you have to take stairs is also a steep climb on foot to reach the parking lot. But the well-kept place is very clean outside, but the apartments , need a renovation are very old-fashioned, with doors and bathrooms that make absurd noises, which you can hear even the neighbors, with a drain of water in the bathroom .. The place is beautiful is also the view these are the top points of the apartments, the indoor pool also that a shame with cold water ...
