Welcome Hotel

Extremely disappointing experience. Due to a clerical error, we selected the wrong date during the booking made through Booking.com. The error was discovered almost immediately, and we arrived at the hotel within a few minutes to explain the situation and request a solution. I want to clarify that we have never denied our responsibility for the error in the date. What we contest is the way the situation was handled. Contrary to what the establishment claimed, Booking.com was not at all uninvolved in the matter. After the initial refusal, we opened an official case, and Booking.com contacted the hotel multiple times to verify the possibility of authorizing a refund or an exception to the booking conditions. It is important for readers to know one thing: in situations like this, Booking.com does not independently decide whether to grant a refund or not. The final decision rests with the accommodation facility. Booking.com merely acts as an intermediary between the customer and the hotel. The request was submitted, but it was not accepted. I therefore find it somewhat unfair to completely shift the responsibility onto the portal when the final decision was in the hands of the establishment. Even more singular is the fact that the possibility of using the room on a different date is presented as a solution. A passing customer who is in a city for specific needs gains no benefit from a room that can be used on a future day, in a place they are unlikely to return to. It is like missing a flight due to a clerical error and being told that the ticket can be used months later for a destination that there is no reason to reach. Formally, it may seem like a solution, but in practice, it is not. What leaves a bitter taste is not the 125 euros themselves, but the complete lack of availability, understanding, and common sense in the face of a situation that was reported immediately and is easily verifiable. Rules are important, but attention to the customer and the ability to manage exceptional situations with balance are equally important. Everyone should draw their own conclusions.

Good breakfast, friendly service.

Really friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms. The restaurant is amazing - I recommend the risotto with funghi porcini and the chicken with potatoes!
