Very welcoming structure, kind and professional staff.

The charm of the structure is undeniable. The winter fog only adds to the feeling of being on an English estate for an imminent fox hunt. Nice rooms, even if they begin to feel the passage of time. Diffuse lighting, almost too low, but very cozy. Too bad for the very poor soundproofing: as in my case it is easy to be woken up in the middle of the night for the neighbor's door to close. Breakfast buffet average. Courteous staff

We chose this hotel for a rare weekend of peace and quiet before the holidays, living apart for business reasons and trusting in the standards of a 4-star property. The management has decided instead to privilege private internal events, transforming the hotel into a location for parties. For both evenings the music continued until 2:00 am at volumes incompatible with rest. Repeated complaints made in real time to the lobby, even well after one, did not lead to any intervention. I expressed my dissatisfaction directly at the hotel, also speaking with the manager, who assured me that the management was reviewing the case and that I would be contacted. At their request I sent a summary email immediately after the stay. No response, until a formal communication rejecting the request referring to an “internal evaluation”. The most serious point is not the refusal of the refund, but the content of the response: while acknowledging a generic “perceived inconvenience”, the management in fact denies the complaints filed several times during the stay, minimizing obvious and documented night noises. A courteous form used to deny the evidence of the facts, which denotes a total lack of elegance, responsibility and respect for the customer. Secondary aspects, such as a timely reported shower spray problem, also remained unresolved, reinforcing the overall impression of poor customer care. This is not an isolated episode, but a backward management mentality, focused on double grossing and internal protection, rather than on the quality of the experience offered. An approach incompatible with a modern hospitality culture. It can perhaps function as an event hall; certainly not as a 4-star hotel. Those seeking tranquility, respect and fairness would do well to turn elsewhere.
