Hi, I've had a very disappointing experience at Senato Hotel Milano during my stay from September 3 to September 7, 2026. Upon check-out, I was informed that I owed €10 per night instead of the €7 per night fee that was initially indicated, which I believe is incorrect. Additionally, I requested an upgrade to a room with coffee facilities and closer to my friends before check-in, but this was not accommodated. The system is saying here that I was staying 5 nights and honestly my rate against my friends was much more expensive. She originally had booked with bookings but when she contacted the hotel they said they would upgrade her and save money if she cancelled her room with you guys. I couldn’t do this as my hotel was already paid in advance. She arrived didn’t like her room and was upgraded! She had a coffee machine an extra large balcony and a much better experience. Prior to check in I asked could I upgrade and was told the hotel was fully booked. However my friend was accommodated with a new room change! The air con didn’t work, I complained and still not fixed. I couldn’t go the toilet in peace as the door opened on top of this so if I left a door open I’d get a door to the legs. A pocket door would be better?! The staff on check in were rude didn’t help with bags. I raised my complaints with a manager - he didn’t help at all! I got multiple bites I thought there were bed bugs but after the few days found that I was getting multiple mosquito bites from the breakfast area. The breakfast is terrible. Cold pancakes, croissants, warm yoghurts. If you want porridge, eggs or anything else there is an extra charge! Don’t bother with breakfast.

This was our second stay at the Senato. They checked us in early and upgraded our room. 309 very spacious and bright. The breakfast was wonderful and tasty.

Our family stayed at the "Senato" hotel in Milan for 3 nights, booking 2 rooms. 1 star Hello everyone,I would like to start with the cons: 1. Insects: If you want to stay in a hotel where various cockroaches roam freely across the floor, then go ahead—there are plenty of them here. 2. Safe: If you are visiting Milan for HIGH-END shopping, DO NOT choose this hotel. The safes are extremely small; you cannot even fit a handbag inside .3. Dirt: Upon entering the room, you are greeted by filthy floors. 4. Poor equipment: The iron is barely working, and the air conditioning is broken. You are forced to look unkempt and sweat all night. 5. Staff: They did not greet us even once, unless we said hello first.6. Scorching heat in the hallways: You sweat just walking to your room because the air conditioning does not work in the corridors between rooms. 7. Minibar: Prices are excessively high, and the selection is very poor. 8. Breakfast: You have to pay EXTRA just to eat fried eggs. You are forced to buy food separately, even if breakfast was already included in your room rate. 9. Terrible soundproofing: You can literally hear every single word spoken in the neighboring room. 10. Room key cards: The cards constantly malfunction, and the door won’t open. You have to wait in the hallway until someone goes to the reception to fix the card—and as mentioned before, the hallways are incredibly hot (Point 6). Now, moving on to the pros: 1. Location: Right next to the Fashion Quadrilateral and a short walk to the Duomo. 2. Food: The pancakes were yummy🙈. 3. Gym: There is a gym available. That is where the pros end.I highly discourage anyone from staying here—do so only at your own peril and risk 😗.
