There was a good choice of food at breakfast. If one did not wish to drink the machine coffee, the staff would make a coffee at the bar. Internet access was easy. The room was air-conditioned. When I did have a problem with the room, I was moved immediately, without question. There is a room safe. The staff were very helpful. It was a short walk from the pedestrianised town centre which gave an entirely different vibe. It was also a short walk to the funicular for the upper town. I should have read the map a little closer - it was a bit further to walk from the train station on a hot day than I had appreciated. It was a hotel that catered for large groups (but was set up to do so). A bottle of water in the room would have been nice on a hot day.

Historic hotel in Bergamo, in an excellent location, recommended by a friend. The lobby is very elegant, nice room (which is not a given when choosing a single). Good breakfast, with a remarkable selection, especially in the pastry section.

First of all, I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to visit Bergamo Alta: close to the station and the funicular that leads to the wonderful upper city. When I entered the room... I breathed: spacious, with a space to sit and read, air conditioning, with a view of the historic city; in a word, excellent. Breakfast, well, I would define it as "world-class," certainly not continental! Exquisite food: many types of cakes, other desserts, cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, fruit, treats, drinks and tea, coffee, cappuccino, chocolate... a delight for the eyes and the palate. And then the staff: at the reception, Miss DIANA, of incredible kindness and refinement, just like Miss ELENA who welcomed us at the breakfast buffet, and all the others on the staff who quickly cleared away dirty dishes to allow for a breakfast in order and cleanliness. You could also have breakfast on the terrace and, not least, after every guest: a pristine clean tablecloth replaced the one just removed. Every guest, a clean tablecloth. Super beautiful and I am super happy.
